This was a culminating activity bringing together several skills and techniques into one work of art. Students had the choice between a self-portrait or drawing a friend either in profile or front view. The objective here was to create a modified contour drawing without lifting their pencil. After completing the pencil drawing they went over their line with a thin black sharpie. The next goal was to use a wet-in-wet technique to color in the regions that had been created by the initial contour drawing.
