Pen and Ink Animal

This was a lesson that emphasized the art element of texture. Using a ultra-fine point sharpie, students created swatches  that simulated different animal textures such as fur (short and long), as well as common marks like stipple (dots), hatches, cross-hatch, and double cross-hatch. Then it was on to the final project of a pen-and-ink animal drawing.
