Planning
The District Technology Use Plan is a "living"
document. It was written bewteen the spring of 2004 and winter of 2005 by a cadre of teachers, principals,
parents, students, support staff, and community representatives. The technology plan applies to
almost every aspect of the district's technology related operations -- from curriculum integration
to inventory control.
The Technology Use Plan is monitored and reviewed by the K-6 Technology Planning Committee and the 7-12 Technology Planning Committee, both of which are
chaired by the Technology Director. These groups meet
monthly to make technology-related decisions and recommendations for schools and
the Management Team.
Our Vision
All students and staff will use technology as a tool and resource to facilitate
the development of lifelong learners who are equipped for the present and future
world of higher education, work, and personal pursuits in the
Information-Communication Age. All students and staff will have access to a
technology-rich learning environment that supports and extends the district
curriculum standards in partnership with our learning communities. Technology will
provide connections for a new century as we connect classrooms and communities,
education and careers, people and information.
