There are approximately 2400 students and staff at La Cañada
High School. Each day thousands of
bottles and cans, and hundreds of pounds of paper were thrown away due to a
lack of awareness of recycling. Green
Club provides recycling bins in almost every classroom. Each week club members collect the
recyclable material from classrooms and leaders take the paper, plastic and
glass to the recycling center. Green
Club’s mission is to increase awareness of recycling among our students. |
