  • Hunt for the Supertwister video and Tornadoes: Seniors and students absent answer the following questions by using the website link above. Students present in class answer them from the video and turn them in before leaving. 1) Where do most tornadoes form in the world? 2) How are tornadoes different from hurricanes? 3) What conditions are required for tornadoes to form? I.e.: What weather conditions lead to tornado formation? 4) What techniques do we currently use to try to forecast tornadoes? Are these techniques completely accurate? This assignment is worth 15 points of classwork credit.

Go to Atmospheric Optics and write about an atmospheric optics phenomenon that interests you (rainbows, ice halos, etc.) Write a ½ to 1 page write-up on what you learned and make sure that you have MLA citation!
