This could be a rainbow, the physics of music you play, a detailed report on a sport you play, the stars you observe in the night sky, or anything you can think of that involves physics. You MUST have a picture of the phenomenon you observe with you in the picture (preferably). Your report MUST have an MLA works cited (works cited not included in the one page requirement) indicating where you got information on the phenomenon you observe. Due to Google Classroom by 3:30 PM on Friday, 12/4/15.

Turn it in ELECTRONICALLY via Google Classroom ONLY. DO NOT EMAIL it to me and DO NOT PRINT it. I only want electronic documents for this assignment. Alternate Assignment ONLY in case you cannot go to JPL this weekend: You MUST have your parent EMAIL me verifying that you could not go to JPL this weekend due to scheduling conflicts or being out of town. Tell me about 5 JPL missions, either past, present, or future that you would like to research. You must write at least a half page of content for each mission, 1.5 spaced, 1” margins, Times New Roman Font, summarizing each mission. The alternate assignment must have an MLA Works Cited page as the last page of the document to be considered for extra credit.   • Warmup: Felix Baumgartner set a record for the Red Bull freefall jump from a balloon. He jumped from an altitude of 128,100 feet above the New Mexico desert. Use the knowledge that there are 3.28 feet to every meter and the formula d = ˝ gt2 to tell me the time in seconds it took him to fall. Once you tell me this, use the formula v = vo +at to tell me how fast in m/s he would be going when he reached the surface of the Earth. Assume that acceleration is a constant of 9.8 m/s2 throughout his fall and that he was falling through a vacuum with no air resistance.
